Taylor began her career with YouTube initially making ASMR videos using her smartphone. PewDiePie used her video in one of his games shortly after she reached 50,000 subscribers, or about 1 1/2 months after she uploaded her first. Taylor stopped making videos for her Youtube Channel after two months, and was close to 100,000 Subscribers. This was mainly due to technical issues with her new equipment, and the overwhelming success of her channel. Taylor began making videos following an absence of one month. It included the incredibly well-known ASMR Ten Triggers to Help You sleep. (35,000,000 views as of the end of August, 2022). ASMR 20, Triggers for Sleeping, first appeared on YouTube in July of 2017 and has since been seen by 38 million viewers. In August of 2017, Shane Dawson featured her in an interview. In addition, she reached 1,000,000 users shortly afterwards. Wired UK estimates that her YouTube advertising earnings were $1000 each week from February to March 2019.

Helfer was born in rural Donalda, Alberta, Canada in Canada, the children of Dennis Helfer and Elaine Helfer. She is of German and English descent. She graduated from Stettin's William E. Hay Composite High School. Her sisters Tammy, Tara, and Trena as well as her worked on the grain farm. When she was 17, the agent of her modeling agency spotted her while in line waiting in a theatre.
